Match Preview: Chadderton vs Ashton Town

Chadderton are looking to make it back to back wins as they take on Ashton Town at the ARK Fleetech Stadium.

Chadderton will look to build on Saturday's 5-3 win over Steeton by beating seventh placed Ashton Town this evening (19:45).

Goals from Dillian O’Connor, Samuel Fitzgerald, a brace from Reece Lyndon and a goal from Jack Turnbull ensured Chadderton took the three points in a goal-filled game last Saturday.

Tonight's game was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, September 28 however the game was postponed.

Due to other fixture postponements, Ashton's last away game was a 4-3 defeat against Lower Breck on Thursday, September 19.

Ashton are level on points with Chadderton although Ashton have three games in hand due to their long list of fixture postponements.

Chadderton have won three out of their seven home games this season and will look to use home advantage to beat a side that has only one away win so far this season.

Although, the visitors are one of the divisions form teams as they have only lost one of their last six league games, winning four of those.

Tonight's game looks set for goals as Ashton have scored 14 goals in their last two games, scoring nine against Atherton LR and five against Golcar United.

For Chadderton, there have been 13 goals in Chadderton's last two games, with Chadderton scoring nine of those.

A win for either side could put them as high as third in the league table.
