LISTEN: Fears grow about games being moved behind closed doors

Given the everchanging nature of the situation and the unpredictability of the virus, fears about the possibility of moving games behind closed doors are beginning to grow.

Even more worrying for club officials and supporters is the prospect of the season being null and voided at some point in the future, as was the case for the past two seasons in the National League North, NPL Premier Division and NPL West.

Considering the financial implications that come with such an outcome, it's an unthinkable eventuality for Curzon chairman Wayne Salkeld. The Nash were hit with a £8,000 fine last season, imposed by the National League, for not fulfilling a number of fixtures. Club officials cited their players' health and welfare for doing so, along with a lack of clarity and financial assurance moving forward.

We spoke to Curzon Ashton chairman, Wayne Salkeld to get his views on both possibilities.
