INTERVIEW: Adam Jones on his recent retirement and new chapter as manager of Stockport Town

Adam Jones, who retired from playing football this week discusses his 15-year career and his new venture into management.

Experienced defender Jones has taken over as manager of North West Counties side Stockport Town.

Although Jones called time on his playing career, he has wasted no time in securing his first managerial role. 

The former Curzon Ashton and FC United of Manchester player has played for a host of non-league clubs, amassing over 600 appearances.

He spoke to the Tameside Reporter about his 15-year career, serious Achilles injury and what it was like to lose multiple Play-off finals.

Jones also details what Stockport Town fans could expect as he takes charge of The Lions.
