Howzat for a boost? Newton CC land funding to replace netting facility

Newton Cricket Club is celebrating a £20,000.00 funding boost from SUEZ Communities Trust for their Refurbishment of Practice Nets Project.

The club’s outdoor net facilities have become dilapidated. The project will allow these to be refurbished to a good standard to enable safe and proper use by all members of the club. All ages will be able to practice on these facilities which will improve performance and well being.

Paul Billingsley, Vice Chairman of Newton Cricket Club said “As a club, we have wanted to refurbish our nets for a number of years but did not have the means to do this. We are extremely grateful to have received this funding from Suez and look forward to all the members using the new nets soon”.

Marek Gordon, Chairman of SUEZ Communities Trust added “SUEZ Communities Trust provides funding awards through the Landfill Communities Fund. We were delighted to be able to offer funding to Newton Cricket Club.”
