Droylsden Fight Back In Thriller

BetVictor North West: Ossett United 3-3 Droylsden

It finished all square in this six-goal rollercoaster tie at Ossett that saw the game swing backwards and forwards between the two sides.

The home team dominated the first twenty-five minutes.

Guest could easily have given them the lead after just minutes, Thompson saving with his feet with the midfielder thru on goal.

The Bloods keeper was called into action minutes later, saving at full stretch from Tom Greaves and the striker had another opportunity minutes later at the back post from Porritt’s cross

Ossett took the lead in twenty minutes, The Bloods failing to clear a corner and Greaves firing into the net from twelve yards through a crowd of players

The Bloods though fought back, Webb Foster with two good opportunities firing over and levelled on thirty-seven minutes, Jamie Frost quickly responding to a throw and crossing for Rhys Clooney to score at the back post.

Into first-half injury time, the home side won a penalty, Phil Clarke handballing on the edge of the area but Guest fired wide.

Ossett started the second half the stronger and regained the lead on fifty-nine minutes,

Greaves getting on the end of a cross.

The Bloods made a triple change straight after, Dom Smith, Domaine Rouse and Brandon Lockett all coming on.

But a minute later Greaves got his hat trick and seemed to have sealed the game for the home team.

But Droylsden fought back, Webb Foster converting from a cross two minutes later before Rouse found himself with time to pick his spot as the home side played him on from an offside trap attempt to make it 3-3.
