Denton Town make changes ahead of next season

Denton Town Football Club have announced a number of changes to the club's structure in a bid to shake things up and continue its development on and off the pitch.

First team managers Phill Cooper and Darren Green will remain in their positions, although they will be joined in the dugout by Kyle Lord. All three will work on a joint-management basis. John Phelan has also been recruited as first team coach.

As part of the changes, the club will have three teams competing in the Cheshire Football League, which includes the first team, reserve team and veterans team.

The current u18 management team of Darren Saville and Gav Affleck will become joint-managers, and they will be joined by current reserve team manager Rob Nicholson, who will be working as the assistant manager.

Off the pitch, the club has launched a Crowdfunding page to raise funds for the club in the absence of revenue streams. Such has been the response to the idea, the club has increased its target to £5,000, of which £2,520 has already been raised. Nottingham Forest striker Zach Clough made a contribution of £250 last month. 25% of what the club raise over the initial target of £2500.00 will go to the NHS and 25% will also go to Help for Heroes.
