Chadderton Lose Out At Home

NWCFL First Division North: Chadderton FC 0-3 Lower Breck FC

Disappointment for Chadderton over the weekend as they were beaten 3-0 by promotion-chasing Lower Breck FC.

It was always going to be a tough game for Chadderton as Lower Breck were firing on all cylinders coming into the game as they sat 2nd in the table.

In the 8th minute, Lower Breck nearly broke the deadlock as Stephen Milne latched onto a cross and shot from just yards out only for Jordan Hadlow to save superbly and tip the ball over the bar.

Ten minutes later it time for the latest battle between Hadlow and Milne with the Avro keeper again coming out on top. Milne drove an effort which was smartly saved by Hadlow to push the ball away from danger.

On the half-hour mark, Lower Breck broke the deadlock as Paul Mooney put in a dangerous cross which found Michael Douglas who tapped into the net. Chadderton went into the break 1-0 down as they struggled to get into the game.

In the 65th Minute, David Fish changed things up as Cameron Boland entered the game for Chadderton to make his first senior appearance of his career after his loan move from Mossley.

In the 74th minute, Aaron Scholes had a decent chance to level the game up as he received a knockdown but could only drag the effort wide.

In the 90th minute, Chadderton thought they had snatched a late winner as Recce Lyndon headed a corner towards the near post but it was blocked on the line and despite protests, the referee said it didn’t cross the line.

Straight for the clearance on the line, Lower Breck launched a counter-attack which ended with Milne slotting past Hadlow and securing the three points.

In the 93rd minute, there was time for another goal as Boland was judged to have fouled a Lower Breck player in the box despite the debutant looking like he got the ball. Milne stepped up and dispatched the penalty to secure a 3-0 win for Lower Breck.
