Tintwistle Athletic Football Club have scored a valuable donation from a property development company to go towards new kits for their teams.
The club has received a donation of £1,000 from Barratt Homes Manchester as part of the housebuilder's Legacy programme.
The grassroots club is based at its fantastic West Drive Football Centre, which officially opened in July 2017, and is located next to the newly-built Barratt Homes development Willow Gardens.
The club has used the £1,000 grant to purchase home and away kits for its Under 15s team, which feature Barratt Homes as a title sponsor.
Tintwistle Athletic is home to over 20 teams and 250 members of all ages and abilities, and believes its number of members will grow when the Willow Gardens site is completed.

"We are incredibly thankful to Barratt Homes for this donation, which has allowed us to purchase kits for our U15s,” said Jill Crossland, Secretary at Tintwistle FC.
"When Willow Gardens is completed, we anticipate a further increase in membership numbers. This donation will certainly contribute to helping our club maintain its position as a pillar of the community.”
Neil Goodwin, Managing Director for Barratt Homes Manchester, was equally as enthusiastic about the company’s sponsorship of the new kits.
"Giving back to the local community is something we strive to do at Barratt Homes,” he said. “What’s more, it’s especially rewarding to help the families living on our sites by giving their children a place to socialise and develop their sporting skills.
"We’re looking forward to seeing how Tintwistle Athletic FC do in their new kits, and we hope they’ll be scoring plenty of goals on and off the pitch."
