Avro And Chadderton Looking For Wins At Home

It’s home matches galore this Saturday at 3 pm as along with Oldham Athletics’ game there is the prospect of Avro and Chadderton playing as well.

Avro FC vs Runcorn Town

Avro host Runcorn Town at the Vestacare Stadium this weekend in the North West Counties Premier Division as they hope to push their way up the table. Avro have been on a poor run of form lately and this shows in their last six games in which they have only one win and a draw. They did turn things around in their last game as they beat Skelmersdale 3-2 at the Vestacare Stadium. Although not a convincing win it was three points on the board for the Oldham based club which were very much appreciated. The result bumped Avro up to 11t in the table which they will argue is a great position for their first season in the premier division.

Runcorn have had an upturn in form recently and they will be looking to carry this on when they visit Avro. Their last result was a hard-fought 3-3 draw at home to Padiham and made sure they only had one loss from their last six fixtures. Their only loss in that run was a 7-0 loss in the FA Trophy against National League North side Chester FC respectively. A win would see either team take another step to safety.

Chadderton vs Steeton

Chadderton are looking desperately to get their form back after a bad run of cup games seems to have taken the wind out of their sails. Their last game was a dismal 4-1 loss away at Cleator Moor Celtic in which they never looked in the game and the scoreline could’ve been worse. That defeat meant that Chadderton have only won once in their last six games which contrasts to the previous month after being awarded the club of the month for September after a great run of form.

Steeton are currently bottom of the table after only winning two games so far this season and Chadderton will surely be viewing the fixture as a great opportunity to get their season back on track. However, Steeton’s last game was an impressive 3-1 win away at Pilkington and they will be bringing that form into this fixture.
