Avro And Chadderton Both Face Big Home Games

Avro and Chadderton are in action this weekend as they both look to add three points in their push up the table.

Avro host Squires Gate at the Vestacare Stadium on Saturday and the home side will be confident of taking the three points. In their last league outing, Avro slipped to a 2-1 defeat away at Ashton Athletic which was a well-contested game between two good sides. Avro were unlucky with the winner coming from a deflected goal kick which hit the back of the net.

Avro currently sits in 11th place in the table which is most definitely a platform for the Oldham based side to build on after an indifferent start to the season. Squires Gate sit just above the relegation zone in 18th position and are without a win since the 20th august when they beat Padiham 1-0. A win for Avro could place them just two points outside of the promotion places and keep them in the mix.

Chadderton have been on a hot run of form lately as they stretched their winning run to five games in a row with a 3-1 away at AFC Blackpool on Tuesday. David Fish’s team have been excellent and now find themselves in the automatic promotion places and that is where they will be looking to stay.

On Saturday The Chad host Ashton Town at the ARK Fleetech Stadium in a promotion-chasing clash. Ashton have been superb so far this season and find themselves in second place and five points ahead of Chadderton. In their last league outing, it was a 4-1 win for Ashton as they beat St Helens Town.

It’s two big fixtures for Avro and Chadderton tomorrow and three points will be a big bonus for both teams.
