A nursery in Shaw has been named amongst the best in the North West after a vote by parents.

Parents have rated Beal Vale Pre-School on Salts Street as one of the top 20 nurseries, out of 1,592 early years settings in the region.

The top 20 nurseries in North West England have received an award from the leading day nurseries reviews site, daynurseries.co.uk, with the award based on the nursery’s reviews from the children’s families and carers.

The nurseries were rated on overall standard, facilities and outside space, learning, resources and equipment and ICT, care, activities, staff, food and nutrition, management, cleanliness, safeguarding as well as value for money.

Debbie Mure, manager of Beal Vale Pre-School, said: "We are delighted to be recognised in the Top 20 nurseries within the North West for 2021! We are all so proud of our achievement and all the hard work from the team here at Beal Vale has really paid off. Thank you to all our parents too for their support!"

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of daynurseries.co.uk, said: "We would like to congratulate Beal Vale Pre-School on being rated by parents as a top nursery in North West England! Being chosen as one of the best nurseries in the UK by family and carers of children that attend the setting is a massive achievement.

“The past year has been a huge challenge for nurseries, many of whom were offering childcare to vulnerable and keyworker children during the various lockdowns and giving children that all important ‘normality’.

“We hope these awards will boost the spirits of nursery staff who have been through such a lot and give parents vital guidance in choosing the right nursery for their child.

“Reviews of our Top 20 nurseries show these settings stimulate and nurture children, improving their social and emotional wellbeing and enhancing their learning.”

The awards are based on over 57,000 reviews received between 29 May 2019 and 28 May 2021 from parents, relatives and guardians of children who attend the nurseries.
