Police seek witnesses after BMW stolen on Huddersfield Road

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman suffered minor injuries during a robbery in Oldham.

At around 7.30pm on Tuesday, January 28, two men approached the woman as she stepped out of a white BMW on Huddersfield Road. The men forced her to the ground, took her keys and drove off in the car towards Uppermill.

The victim suffered minor injuries that didn’t require hospital treatment. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Police Constable Mohammad Ali of the Oldham district said: “This was a violent incident which has left an innocent woman injured and clearly traumatised by the robbery. 

“We are asking anyone who has dash-cam footage or CCTV of the incident on Huddersfield Road on Tuesday 28 January to contact police as soon as possible. Any information could be invaluable and greatly assist with our enquiries.

“I would also ask anyone who was on Huddersfield Road or Uppermill at the time of the incident and saw anything usual or suspicious, no matter how small, to contact police as soon as possible.”
