Police appeal for witnesses following Oldham crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after five men were hospitalised with serious injuries when a car crashed into a house in Oldham last weekend.

The 21-year-old driver and four passengers, aged 20, 24, 24 and 28, were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the car collided into a terrace house on Hollins Road just before 5am last Sunday morning (1 September).

After emergency services attended, the house was evacuated.

All five people in the car remain in hospital in a stable condition.

PC Sarah Cavanagh, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a shocking incident and our thoughts are with the five men that were taken to hospital at this difficult time.

“If you were in the area at the time and saw the collision on Hollins Road or have any dash cam footage that could assist our enquiries then please get in touch.”

Anyone who has any information about the collision should contact police on 0161 856 4741, quoting incident number 612.

Reports can also be made anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
