The tenacious heroes of the hills responded to a request from North West Ambulance Service on Monday for help with the location, treatment and evacuation of a female walker.
She had fallen on the Pennine Way near Denshaw, suffering an ankle injury.
Mountain rescue team leader Rob Tortoishell said: "After using PhoneFind technology to locate the casualty, Oldham Mountain Rescue Team's doctor was soon with her and able to provide medical aid.
"She was splinted and packaged on our stretcher and wheel before the 1km carry back to the car park, from where she was transported to hospital by her companions for further treatment."
Eighteen OMRT personnel were involved for two hours.
