Mountain rescue help injured walker at Dove Stone

Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were called to assist a female walker who fell and injured her lower leg at Dove Stone.

They were called by North West Ambulance Service to the scene on Wednesday (23 June). 

OMRT leader Rob Tortoishell said: “We accessed the casualty's location in our Land Rover and soon had one of our medics assessing and treating her.

"She was then packaged on our stretcher and wheel before being carried round to the waiting NWAS ambulance." 

Nine OMRT personnel were involved for just over an hour.
