Election hustings in Oldham

Local charity Action Together is hosting a General Election hustings for parliamentary candidates in Oldham East and Saddleworth.

The hustings will take place next Tuesday (November 26) from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at St Barnabas Hall, Arundel Street, Clarksfield, Oldham, OL4 1NL.

Voters from the constituency will have the chance to hear from and question the invited candidates ahead of the general election on Thursday, December 12. 

The event will be chaired by a representative from Action Together.

Doors open and refreshments will be available from 6:15pm.

The candidates for the Oldham East and Saddleworth constituency are Debbie Abrahams (Labour Party), Sam Al-Hamdani (Liberal Democrats), Paul Brierley (Brexit Party), Paul Errock (Proud of Oldham & Saddleworth), Amoy Lindo (Independent), Tom Lord (Conservative Party), and Wendy Olsen (Green Party). 

There will be further hustings events hosted by Action Together including Oldham West and Royton, with details still to be confirmed. 

Action Together supports voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise groups in Oldham, Rochdale and Tameside.

Meanwhile, Churches Together in Saddleworth are hosting an Election Forum on Sunday, December 1, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at The Parish Centre in Uppermill. 

Local candidates have been invited to attend.
