Chadderton will be hoping to continue their impressive start to the season as they host Holker Old Boys this Saturday at theARK Fleetech Stadium.

Chadderton will be hoping to continue their impressive start to the season as they host Holker Old Boys this Saturday at theARK Fleetech Stadium. The Oldham based team have picked up six points from three games to kick off their North West Counties First Division North Campaign. 

In their last game, Chadderton fought to a 2-1 win away at Pilkington FC in a game where they should’ve been out of sight after thirty minutes. After a few scary moments, Chadderton secured the points to move them up to 5th in the table and just one point off the top. 

In contrast, Chadderton’s opponents Holker Old Boys have had an indifferent start to the season. Holker have only played two games so far this season having lost their opening game at home to AFC Darwen 6-1 but they recovered in their next game beating Golcar United 2-1. Those results leave the side languishing in 16th place and they will be looking for a good result at Chadderton. 

This week we spoke to Chadderton boss David Fish about what their aims for the season are, “I spoke to the lads in pre-season and we have said how important it is to finish in the top four as we want to get promoted this season.”
