Woman given conditional discharge after drugs discovery

A High Peak woman has been given an 18 months conditional discharge by magistrates after being found in possession of a quantity of drugs.

Lauren Hardy, of Beech Avenue, New Mills, was found in possession of a quantity of cocaine and cannabis back on February 21 last year.

The 49-year-old admitted the charges and was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a victim surcharge of £20.

Magistrates at Stockport ordered the cocaine and cannabis be forfeited and destroyed.
