Derbyshire Wildlife Trust High Peak Group have re-started their monthly meetings at Bradbury House in Glossop.

The group meets on the on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm.

The first meeting in October heard about the re-introduction of beavers in Derbyshire after 800 years.

The Trust now have four beavers which are enjoying over 40 hectares of wetland habitat, within a special beaver-proof fence in the Willington Wetlands nature reserve.

On Tuesday November 9, Hugh Jones will be talking about ‘The Sea shore’ with some stunning photographs of intertidal life.

Then on Tuesday December 14, Hollie Fisher will be introducing an exciting new project being launched by DWT that aims to create a connected, more natural landscape in the Dark Peak.

Both these events are free of charge – but donations welcome. The group are not currently able to offer refreshments so those attending are welcome to take along their own.

Information about the rest of the programme will be distributed at Bradbury House and can be collected from Glossop, Hadfield and Gamesley libraries.

Further information about the group is available from Angela Dale 01457 866753.
