Transpennine Trail clean-up

Keep Britain Tidy will be in Glossop later this month to clean up a popular piece of countryside - and it's looking for lots of support.

The target of the Operation Springclean is a little corner of the Trans Pennine Trail in Gamesley.

It will take place on Sunday, March 29.

Organiser Kate Blackburn, of Salford Ranger Team, said: "It is a lovely wilderness of woodland which is sadly neglected and litter has been allowed to accumulate over the years.

"The more the merrier, so please come along and lend a hand. You just need to bring yourselves, suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, plus gloves if you have any. We provide work gloves, litter picks and bags."

The big clean will take place from 10am to 11.30am. People taking part should meet at the corner of Cottage Lane / Glossop Road, near Gamesley.

To book, email Gale at gale.blackburn@salford.gov.uk or visit https://www.keepbritaintidy.org/events/transpennine-trail-clean-5e2ef71602537
