Tintwistle Christmas Market was 'spectacularly successful'

The community turned out to enjoy the festive fun with the welcome return of the popular Tinsle Christmas Market.

Organised by Tintwistle Parish Council, the extravaganza was held on the Sexton Street playing field and car park.

It has been described as 'spectacularly successful' with a record attendance.

There were more than 20 stallholders along with food and drink provided by local businesses, who were so busy that they were running out of supplies!

Councillor Emily Scriven said: “We were super lucky with the weather!

“It was fab! Such a success, it was absolutely packed with customers, and the atmosphere was so festive and lovely."

All proceeds from the event will go towards the funding of Tintwistle's new community centre.
