Members of Hayfield-based Kinder Mountain Rescue Team have had a busy start to the week, with three callouts in the space of 12 hours.

Early on Monday morning (13 June), they were called to help the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) with the evacuation of a motorcyclist who had collided with a tree along a woodland trail in Brinnington, Stockport.

On Sunday (12 June), a walker taking part in an organised walk had to be stretchered from the Ashop Head steps on the top of Kinder suffered. They had suffered an injury to their foot and were unable to continue.

While this incident was ongoing, another walker on Kinder Scout needed rescuing, this time from Swinesback.

A medical condition, combined with a minor ankle injury, was preventing them from walking any further.
