Thieves strike at Glossop restaurant

A Glossop restaurant is appealing to the local community for help to identify two thieves who stole items worth hundreds of pounds.

Hyssop on High Street West has shared CCTV footage of two men who entered private property at around 8.10am on Tuesday morning (28 September) when the restaurant was closed to the public.

They made off with two stock pots worth £300 each and a broken Vac-Packer.

The restaurant said on its Facebook page that they are in 'utter shock and so disappointed'.

"As a small business, little things like this really affect our cash flow," they said. "That's a huge chunk of cash we have to pay out this week that we’d not planned to do.

"After the past 18 months, we’re in utter shock and so disappointed that people feel like they can take what’s not theirs. It’s not an area that’s public, it’s our private property.

"Any help would be greatly appreciated."

Anyone who can help can get in touch with the restaurant via its Facebook page, by emailing hyssopglossop@gmail.com or calling 01457 861054.
