For the first time in two years, Glossop and District Scouts were able to hold their St George's Day Parade.

Joining the various Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, leaders and their parents was High Peak Mayor Councillor Paul Hardy and his wife Mayoress Mary Hardy.

They joined the parade that made its way from St Philip Howard School to St Mary’s Church for a service led by Father Martin before parading back.

The procession into church was led by a group of very proud young flag bearers.

Cllr Hardy said: “It was a pleasure to see so many young people and their parents attending after the absence of the parade for the last two years.

“Well done to you all and keep up your good work.”
