The latest planning applications in the High Peak

A wide range of planning applications across the High Peak have been submitted to, and approved by, the borough council lately.

Here's our round-up for this week... 

The planning applications submitted include the following: 

  • Two storey extension at 45 Appleton Drive, Glossop               
  • Change of use of land for use as domestic parking provision on land to the northeast of the former Hawkshead Mill Site, Starkie Street, Glossop  
  • Proposed single storey rear and side extension at 49 Glossop Road, Gamesley, Glossop 
  • First floor side extension at 26 Lodge Bank, Hadfield, Glossop 
  • Change of use of stables to ancillary living accommodation at Ivy Cottage, Gow Hole, Furness Vale 
  • Proposed replacement signage at 38-42 High Street West, Glossop 
  • Single storey rear extension at 38 Scotty Brook Crescent, Glossop 
  • Installation of supplementary flood lights at Glossop Rugby Club, Hargate Hill Lane, Charlesworth 

Plans that have been given the go-ahead and approved by the borough council include: 

  • Three storey side extension at 4 Parkway, New Mills 
  • Single storey side extension to the rear of 17-19, Market Street, Chapel-En-Le-Frith 
  • Demolition of existing conservatory and construction of single storey kitchen extension at 1 Fern Bank, Chapel-En-Le-Frith 
  • Demolition of the existing rear extension and construction of a new link between the house and outbuilding. Existing rear garage / workshop outbuilding to be converted into habitable space at 95, Buxton Road, Whaley Bridge 
  • Construction of two storey rear extension and single storey kitchen extension at 1 Horderns Lane, Chapel-En-Le-Frith 
  • Two storey side extension and single storey rear extension at 58 Hurst Crescent, Glossop,  
  • Provision of a canopy over the frontage to Green Lane at 20 Green Lane, Chinley
