Teeing off to help High Peak hospice care

Participants in a previous golf day ran by Blythe House.

Local golfers are being invited to swing into action to help raise vital funds for hospice care.

Blythe House Hospicecare's third annual golf day at Buxton and High Peak Golf Club on Friday 11 June, with tee times available between 10am and 2pm for the 4BBB Stableford competition.

Becca Gregory, fundraising and events coordinator at the hospice, said: “The golf day is always such a great fundraising event where everyone comes together for a day of friendly competition whilst supporting local hospice care. Fingers crossed for some sunshine on the day!”

The money raised will help provide free care and services to patients and families who are affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement across the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales.

It costs £50 per partnership to take part which includes 18 holes of golf, prizes and hot food on return to the clubhouse.

A bottle tombola helps raise even more money for the charity who are on the lookout for donations of wine, beer or spirits.

Businesses and organisations can also help by sponsoring one of the 18 tees at the event. The £100 per tee cost covers the company name and logo on a sign at the tee, and promotion in the clubhouse.

For more information – to book spaces, donate a bottle or sponsor a tee - contact Becca Gregory on 01298 875 089 or email events@blythehouse.co.uk.
