Tee off at golf day in support of High Peak hospice

Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club.

Golfers across the High Peak are being invited to take part in a fundraising golf day next month in Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Open to everyone, from the complete novice to the next Tiger Woods, the event on Friday 21 August will raise much-needed funds for Blythe House Hospicecare and Helen's Trust.

For the cost of £40 per player, you will be greeted with a breakfast sandwich and hot drink on arrival, 18-holes of golf, amazing prizes, and the choice of either a Woodfired Pizza or Pork Bap after your round.

To make this event as accessible as possible for all abilities, there will a player handicap limit of 28 Men and 36 Ladies. And it will be 4BBB (4 ball, better ball) pairs event with any combination (Men/Ladies).

Over lockdown, there has a lot of investment in Chapel Golf Club and everyone at the club is excited to share their recently built al fresco outdoor eating area as part of this charitable event.

Cath Hallam, Lady Captain for 2022, said: “We hope with our new developments that players will enjoy this summer event playing a game of golf with fantastic food and drink at our new outdoor seating; all to raise awareness and essential funds for this local charity.”

Becca Gregory, from Blythe House, said: “There have been many challenges for fundraising during the pandemic, and we are so grateful to Chapel-en-le-Frith Golf Club for providing us with complimentary use of the course and for all of their support in putting on a fantastic day of golf.”
