Second Covid jabs on the way for some residents

Glossop Health Team has revealed that its second vaccine supply for people who received their first Pfizer jabs at the North Road cricket club hub on December 22 and 23 will soon be on the way.

Glossop Primary Care network manager Sharon Snape announced the news online, saying that information received revealed the vaccine will arrive on March 9.

The jabs will be given over the following two days, with reminders of those getting them being sent out soon.

Sharon is asking people not to contact their GP surgeries as recipients will be informed when they are able to book an appointment.

Meanwhile, the NHS team and volunteers running the hub are continuing to receive praise from those getting the jabs.

The latest round of thanks goes to the volunteers who stood outside the hub in sub-zero temperatures last week on car parking and marshalling duties.
