Police investigate after badgers shot in High Peak

Derbyshire's Rural Crime Team are appealing for information after three badgers were shot and left in fields in Chinley.

They are believed to have been shot at around 10.30pm on Saturday 17 April just off Maynestone Road.

Two were left in the same field next to a public footpath.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and has any Dash Cam footage are urged to contact police as they might have driven past the people responsible for this illegal killing of a protected species.

Anyone with information can call 101 and quote crime number 21*212071, or ask to speak to PC 2581 from the Rural Crime Team.
