Police appeal after 'unusual occurrence' in Hadfield

Police are appealing for information after a van driver was seen pulling over a clothing bank before making off in Hadfield. 

It happened at around 11.30am on Tuesday morning (17 August). 

Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team received a report that a van, described as a Waitrose delivery van, was seen entering the car park adjacent to The Chieftain pub on Lower Barn Road. 

The driver then got out, attached a strap to the green clothing bank on the car park and pulled it over with the van, leaving it upturned face down. 

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has CCTV or dash cam footage of the vehicle involved, to come forward.
