PCSO reaches 40 years of service in Glossop

PCSO Brian Buller.

A well-known figure is celebrating four decades of being on the beat in Glossop.

It's 40 years this week since PCSO Brian Buller first started working at Glossop Police Station.

His colleagues presented him with a lovely card, case of beer and a cake on Wednesday (15 June) to mark the occasion.

"It's gone so quickly and I've loved every minute of my service," PCSO Buller said. "I've met and worked with some wonderful people, I'm proud to have reached this milestone and it's not over yet."

PCSO Buller became a Special Constable in Glossop and was sworn in at Glossop Magistrates' Court in 1982 until 2007.

He has also served as a Traffic Warden at Glossop from 1988 up until 2005 when he became a PCSO.

PCSO Buller hasn't retired yet and says he "still has a few more miles on the clock to do".
