Part of Padfield Main Road is set to be closed over four days to facilitate the disconnection of electricity from a street light column.
The road will be closed from Tuesday 8 September to Friday 11 September between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.
It will be closed between the junction of Temple Street and the junction of Post Street.
Motorists are advised to use the alternative route of Post Street, Platt Street, Temple Street, Glossop and vice versa.
Derbyshire County Council say access for residents will be maintained whenever reasonably possible and the road will reopen as soon as the work is finished, which may be earlier than advertised. It also apologises for any inconvenience caused during the closure.
Any local residents who have any further questions can get in touch with Padfield borough councillor Ollie Cross by emailing email@example.com or calling 07813 969399.
