Residents are being asked to nominate individuals and groups who make a real difference to the local community and deserve to be recognised.

Chapel-en-le-Frith Parish Council's community award is designed to recognise people from the parish of Chapel-en-le-Frith, which includes Bagshaw, Combs, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Dove Holes, Sparrowpit, Tunstead Milton and Whitehough, who have contributed or excelled in one of the three categories.

These are:

• Volunteer Work or Fundraising - recognising those who give their time to assist others who are in need, and selflessly work to make the lives of others better in some way.
• Academic, Sporting, Musical or Artistic Achievement - for individuals or groups who have had success at District, County or National Level raising the profile of the Area with their achievements.
• Improving and Generating Community Spirit - recognising individuals or groups who organise or run community projects or events that bring people together.

Nominations forms can be downloaded from the Parish Council website at www.chapelpc.org and completed forms should be returned to the Council by 30 September 2021.
