MRT volunteers remove sacks of rubbish from beauty spot

Cans, bottles, food containers and even used nappies were among the large amounts of litter found discarded at a local beauty spot.

Members of Glossop Mountain Rescue Team were spurred into action after seeing the amount of rubbish that had been left when carrying out a recent rescue at the Black Cloughs, Woodhead, and decided to do something about.

The cleaning party collected sacks full of rubbish during a litter pick and were able to restore the area for visitors to continue to enjoy.
