MP's best decorated street competition for Christmas

Local MP Robert Largan has launched a 'Best Decorated Street' competition, to try to bring some extra cheer to the festive season.

The High Peak MP hopes to see whole streets getting involved with decorating their houses and gardens as much as possible with Christmas lights, decorations, ornaments, and whatever else people come up with.

You can nominate your street or perhaps another street nearby that has impressed you.

Nominations can be submitted by filling out a short form on the MP’s website at www.robertlargan.co.uk/xmasstreets

Nominations are open until Sunday 20 December.

The winning street will get a special prize as well as the bragging rights of having the best Christmas lights in the High Peak.

Mr Largan said: “We do lots of things very well in the High Peak. And Christmas is no exception!

"2020 has been a very difficult year, and as it draws to a close we all need as much cheer as we can get.

“So I’m running a ‘Best Decorated Street’ competition, to try to help bring some extra cheer to the festive season.

“I hope to see streets across the High Peak decorated like never before, and I’m really looking forward to seeing all the entries and deciding which High Peak street is the ‘Best Decorated’.”
