High Peak MP Robert Largan has visited New Bodies Gym in Buxton to see the steps they have taken to make the gym safe to re-open.
The MP met with proprietor and head personal trainer Andrew Lomax at the gym on Tongue Lane Industrial Estate in Fairfield.
He toured the facilities to see the steps taken to make the gym safe, so that it can successfully re-open on Saturday when gyms nationally will be permitted to re-open.
The pair also discussed government support for local businesses throughout the pandemic.
Mr Largan is also due to visit the New Mills New Bodies gym on Saturday.
He commented: "It was great to visit the gym and see all the steps that Andrew and the team have taken to make it safe to re-open. They’ve done a fantastic job and I’m sure that lots of people are eager to get back to the gym, in a Covid-safe way, after so many months."
