MP to shave beard off for local charity

High Peak MP Robert Largan will finally be getting his hair cut and lockdown beard shaved off this weekend, in aid of a local charity.

The task of doing just that lies with his barber Andre Bartolomeo, from Arturo's Salon in the Glossop Market Arcade, who has said he will donate the MP's fee to his cause Crossroads Derbyshire.

Crossroads Derbyshire, formerly High Peak Women's Aid, offers confidential help and advice for adults, children and young people experiencing domestic violence or domestic abuse.

Mr Largan is asking constituents to kindly donate what they can to support his chosen cause.

He said: "This Saturday, hairdressers and barbers are re-opening. That means I’ll finally be able to get my hair cut and my lockdown beard will be shaved off!

"So for a bit of fun and to raise money for a good cause, I’ll be shaving it off to raise money for Crossroads Derbyshire who do such important work supporting victims of domestic violence. If you felt able to sponsor me, it would mean a great deal."

You can donate via his Just Giving page here: https://justgiving.com/fundraising/robert-largan
