Glossop Mountain Rescue Team's dedicated volunteers helped find a walker who became lost whilst walking to the B-29 crash site on Bleaklow in adverse weather.
The team were on exercise in and around the Longdendale Valley area last Sunday (22 November) but after only a couple of hours rest, they were called out just after 6pm to assist the man, who had become separated from his friend.
The lost walker used phone finder technology to report his location as being towards the top of Near Black Clough.
Hill parties were sent in from Snake Summit and Near Black Clough and the fast party from Snake Summit quickly found the man and walked him back to Snake Summit.
The team were stood down at 8.30pm.
Meanwhile, GMRT - which receives no direct government funding - is continuing to appeal for donations to help ensure its volunteers can continue to turn out day and night to rescue people in wild and remote places.
