Meeting to discuss crime concerns

Police will be holding a meeting for residents living in the Green Lane and Oakfield Road area of Hadfield to discuss their concerns about crime.

It comes after the window of a van, parked on Oakfield Road (pictured), was smashed by what police believe to be a pellet from an air pistol or BB gun on Sunday evening (12 January).

The Hadfield Safer Neighbourhood Team say no further incidents have been reported to the police since then but their enquiries into the aforementioned incident are continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 for the attention of Hadfield SNT.

The team plan to hold a meeting for people being affected by anti-social behaviour and criminal damage in the Green Lane and Oakfield Road area.

It will be held at Glossop Police Station on Ellison Street next Wednesday, January 22, at 7pm.

Anyone who would like to attend is asked to notify Hadfield SNT by emailing GNNT@derbyshire.pnn.police.uk.

Police reiterate that the meeting is to discuss the recent events in this area only, but anyone who would like to speak to them about any other issues in the Hadfield area can contact Hadfield SNT by emailing the above address or ringing 101.
