Man arrested after woman was sexually assaulted

A man has been arrested after a woman in her 30s was sexually assaulted as she walked along a High Peak road in the early hours of the morning. 

The woman was on Harpur Hill Road in Buxton when she was attacked. 

It happened at around 2.50am on Sunday morning (July 5). 

A man, described as around 5ft 10ins tall, walked up behind her and grabbed her chest before he ran off - either down Harpur Hill Road or Beech View Road. 

A 35-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was arrested but released under investigation. 

Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area, drivers who may have dashcam footage that captured the area at the time, and homeowners who may have CCTV that may have captured images which could help officers.
