A man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon following an 'incident' in Glossop town centre.
Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team said they received 'multiple' calls on Tuesday (2 August) but no further details have been given about what happened.
The man remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in Glossop town centre and has information, CCTV or dash cam footage that could help is asked to call 101 or report it online at https://www.derbyshire.police.uk/ quoting incident 303 of 02/03/22.
A Glossop Police SNT spokesperson said: "We'd like to thank those who assisted and have continued to assist whilst the investigation is progressed."
