How about this for a Christmas pantomime alternative?

Glossop-based Carrot Productions have come up with an alternative to the annual trip to the Christmas pantomime.

Children can still get a much-needed dose of joy and happiness this festive season with an all-new comprehensive package of school arts resources, created by the world’s leading performers of The Snowman.

Schooltime Showtime offers a streamable version of the acclaimed The Snowman Tour show, ready-to-go lesson ideas for EYFS to KS2 pupils, access to resources, instructional videos and a live online Show and Tell session with one of the UK’s top musicians.

It’s a hassle-free and memorable experience for the whole school, delivered in a flexible way to cater for class or year group bubbles, and the materials and final show can be shared online with pupils at home in the instance of a lockdown or self-isolation.

All the music in the show other than The Snowman has been composed by Glossop’s Daniel Whibley, who’s recent orchestration of Four Notes - Paul’s Tune has gone viral - full story and pictures on page six.

Supporting the Schooltime Showtime package gives schools the opportunity to actively champion high-quality art and cultural education in a meaningful and safe way, as well as having lots of fun.

Each gold package also provides essential and valuable work for the Carrot Productions talented professional freelance musicians.

Carrot Productions musicians are hand-picked from orchestras such as the BBC Philharmonic, Hallé, BBC Scottish and London Symphony Orchestra and they have staged 222 performances of The Snowman to schools and audiences totalling over 200,000.
