The constituency office of High Peak MP Robert Largan has been targeted by vandals.

Labour councillor Damien Greenhalgh, the deputy leader of High Peak Borough Council, tweeted: “Disgusted to learn of the vandalism to Robert Largan's constituency office.

“Robert and I disagree on many things, but in a democracy, we all agree Elected Representatives should be able to carry out their public service without fear of intimidation or harm.”

While High Peak’s Labour Group stated: “We condemn these actions. Whilst we have political differences with Mr Largan, and with the Conservative Party, we believe strongly in the importance of our democracy and in the right of MPs of all parties to work without fear and intimidation.”

Police were alerted on Sunday afternoon (16 January) when they were contacted by a member of the public who reported the graffiti.

They are asking anyone with information to contact them by calling 101 or reporting it online at https://www.derbyshire.police.uk/ quoting incident number 220*0030645.
