Glossop's main foodbank is appealing for donations of a number of items of which it is in short supply.
Glossopdale Foodbank provides emergency food aid to people in financial crisis in Glossop, Gamesley, Hadfield and Tintwistle.
The items it needs are:
- Microwaveable rice pouches (250g)
- Packets of pasta and sauce
- Red kidney beans
- Tinned peas (567g size where possible)
- Tinned carrots (567g size where possible)
- Tinned sweetcorn (567g size where possible)
- Tinned potatoes (567g size where possible)
- Chickpeas
- Tinned tuna
Donations can be left in collection baskets located near the checkouts in the Co-op in Simmondley, Tesco in Glossop and Marks & Spencer in Glossop.
Cash donations can also be made through the foodbank's JustGiving page at https://localgiving.org/charity/glossopdalefoodbank/.
Glossopdale Foodbank said on its Facebook page: "A huge thank you for all of our recent donations; this really is making a difference to local residents and families in need. Thank you for your continued support."
