Glossop teachers went to the Party at the Palace for Queen's Jubilee

Chris and Victoria Kennedy.

Two primary school teachers from Glossop were lucky enough to be given tickets for the Party at the Palace to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Chris and Victoria Kennedy both dressed up for the occasion - Chris even used one of Roly’s flags as his pocket square!

Victoria’s grandmother worked in a Stalybridge factory that actually produced the ‘Westminster Blue’ material used to furnish the chairs during the Queen's Coronation in Westminster Abbey.

The Queen sent a brooch made from the same material to all the factory’s employees in recognition for their hard work.

Victoria wore her granny’s brooch to Buckingham Palace on Saturday night and even shared her granny’s story on TV.

They said it was "a wonderful weekend that will never be forgotten".
