Glossop Round Table's fundraising rally receives a boost

Glossop's Round Tablers should have twice as much fun and hopefully receive double the support as they gear up to compete in a special rally.

That's because they have gratefully received a donation of a second vehicle to take part in Coventry Round Table's Coast to Coast Skinflint Rally 2021.

It will take place from 9 to 12 September, with the kind-hearted folk from Glossop and District Round Table hoping to raise £5,000 for Glossop Age Concern.

They will drive the North Coast 500 from Whitehaven to Newcastle via the Scottish Highlands.

It's not a race, it's just for fun, and to raise much-needed funds for local causes up and down the UK.

🎉 OMG we have been donated a second car for our Skinflint Rally 🎉 That's twice as much fun and hopefully twice as much...

Glossop Round Table have chosen to support the service that Glossop Age Concern provide to the elderly in the community.

"They are a local charity, not affiliated with Age UK, and their personal touch with these vulnerable adults in our community is so heartwarming," a Round Table spokesperson said.

"Please support our fundraising efforts generously - 100 per cent of monies donated will reach Glossop Age Concern for them to use in the way that they know best, to help those that need support."

Anyone who wishes to support the Round Table can do so via their JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/glossoprt-skinflintrally
