Glossop PCSO receives long service award

PCSO Brian Buller with Chief Constable Rachel Swann.

A well-known figure in Glossop has received a long service award to celebrate his four decades of being on the beat in the town.

PCSO Brian Buller marked 40 years since he first started working at Glossop Police Station back in June 2022.

This week, PCSO Buller was invited to meet Chief Constable Rachel Swann at Derbyshire Police Headquarters in Ripley to receive congratulations for his fantastic service to the force.

He was given a Sheaffer pen and a special card from the Chief after having a one-to-one chat with her.

PCSO Buller became a Special Constable in Glossop and was sworn in at Glossop Magistrates' Court in 1982 until 2007.

He has also served as a Traffic Warden at Glossop from 1988 up until 2005 when he became a PCSO.

PCSO Buller, of the Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team, says he hasn't retired yet and still has a few more years left!
