Glossop Classic Vehicle Show set for summer return

Glossop Classic Vehicle Show will be back in Manor Park this year - and this time with a summer slot.

It promises to be one of the biggest and best on record.

Organisers Glossop Vehicle Enthusiasts Club had to cancel last year's annual May event due to Covid-19 restrictions.

It looked as though this year's show would follow a similar pattern due to coronavirus uncertainty.

However, talks with High Peak Borough Council has seen the show rescheduled for Sunday, August 22.

And less than 24 hours after the new date had gone online, around 150 vehicle owners had already booked a slot.

As usual there will be a line-up of classic cars, military and commercial vehicles.

There is free admission to members of the public, with net proceeds from the day going to local organisations and SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association).

The club is asking owners wanting to book a spot: £5 for cars, free for military, and £20 a stall for traders - to book online using its website http://www.gvec.club/.
