Glossop author releases new children's book

A beautifully illustrated new children's book has been published by Glossop author Johanne Lee.

Following the success of Dream Big Little One, which was released in May, her latest book is Maximus the Humpback Whale.

Johanne, who has further books planned, told us how each one has a different message.

She said: "With Dream Big Little One, the aim was to encourage self belief in early years children. This new book is about plastic in the ocean and the humpback whales having problems because of it."

As well as having a positive message for her readers, Johanne also makes a donation from every sale to charity, with each book supporting a different charity close to her heart.

The success of Dream Big Little One has already seen a £300 donation being made to the British Heart Foundation.

Maximus the Humpback Whale will help support Whale and Dolphin Conservation.

For Johanne, publishing her books and helping inspire the children she meets, taking her books into local schools and nurseries, is a dream come true.

Her work is available locally through Bay Tree Books in Glossop and online through the likes of Amazon, Waterstones and WH Smith.

Dream Big Little One has proved to be popular, particularly in America where it is available through Walmart.

Johanne is busy writing and her poetry will also feature in a new book after Christmas, this is in collaboration with other women poets called A Woman’s Journey.
