Free travel on Stagecoach buses for military personnel and veterans

Stagecoach is offering free travel on its buses to military personnel and veterans on Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday this week.

It's part of the bus operator's ongoing commitment to recognise the armed forces.

Travel will be free on Thursday 11 and Sunday 14 November for a veteran wearing their medals or veteran's badge, or for serving personnel if they are wearing uniform or have proof of military ID.

With Remembrance services planned at memorials throughout the area, it is hoped that people wishing to pay their respects will take up the offer to travel for free to the service of their choice.

Stagecoach drivers will also be asked to honour the two minutes' silence at 11am on both days.

Stagecoach will also be operating a number of poppy buses across the network. Poppies will also be displayed on the front of a number of buses, with some of the destination blinds showing the messaging 'We will remember them'.

Stagecoach has been a member of the Armed Force Covenant since March 2015, recognising the value of serving personnel, regular and reservists, veterans and military families to both the country and businesses across the country.
